When he got to Malčín he was joined by an itinerant
concertina player whom he met at the inn, where he was refreshing
himself with brandy because it was a long way to Radomyšl.
Where there is nothing, even Death is powerless. This statement might define Malčice today. Schweik may have drunk his schnapps here but now there is no pub. In Malčice, known as Malčín in the book, only the house where the pub used to be can be found. The village itself is quite pretty, but we would recommend you to spend more time in the South Bohemia Village of the Year 2010, Čížová.
