Vráž village is situated approx. 8 km northwards from Písek town. Vráž is well-known for its spa rehabilitating centre, which is since the year 1936 situated in the castle of the noble family Lobkowicz. The surrounding area is full of forests, ponds (e.g. Novovrážský, Společný). Also Otava River flows here - approx. 1 km from the village. Further, Nature Preserve Čertova hora u Vráže can be found nearby.
Vráž village itself, as well as the whole area, offers great conditions both for trekking and cycling.
