The village Bernartice is located in the slightly hilly country side by the main road between Tábor and Písek, 463 metres above sea-level, approx. 10 km southwards from Milevsko. Visitors will surely admire the town square, full of historical monuments and Church of St. Rosanna with the well containg healing water, which stands by the road to Bechyně. Bernartice had a bad fortune during the 2nd World War - they were nearly wiped away like the whole Lidice village. The surroundings are suitable for cycling - there is a starting point of South Bohemian cycle routes by the fountain.
