Lhota U Kestřan, Zátaví

Kestřany village is situated approx. 7 km south westwards from Písek, on the river bank of Otava. There is a unique complex of two redoubts, built in the Gothic style in the village and a golf ground of five and nine holes (more on www.golf-pisek.cz.). The Lower redoubt was founded in the fourteenth century and is under reconstruction at present. On demand, visit of interiors is possible (with the owner, Mr ing.J. Hric +420 603 575 760).There are plenty of forests and monuments in the surroundings, what makes the area attractive for trekking and cycling. In addition, annual gold washing is organized by Otava.
