Dobev village is situated approx. 8 from Písek town, just by the road connecting Písek and Strakonice. There is a public camping Stašov lying on banks of a forest pond with swimming possibility close to the village. There is also an observation tower Kamýk in the nearby village Velké Nepodřice. The surrounding countryside is flat, with number of ponds and forests, offering a great possibility for relax, trekking and cycling.
