Zvíkov Castle is the most famous early gothic castle in the Czech Republic. It was founded in 1234 during the reign of Přemysl Otakar I. Its walls loom above the confluence of two rivers - Otava and Vltava. There is Royal palace, king’s bedrooms, servants´ room, dinning room, knight hall, dancing hall, royal hall and St Wenceslas chapel to be seen. Wedding organization is possible on demand. The location of the castle also offers a sightseeing boat tour which can finish by the nearby Orlík Castle. The whole area is suitable for cycling too.
