This Chapel is generally known as the Budějovická Chapel as it has been consecrated to the Virgin Mary with Ears of Grains, called also the Budějovická Virgin Mary (the original can be found in the exhibition in the Prácheň Museum, its copy is located in the chapel). Towards the end of 1741 a battle took place here between the French and Austrian soldiers. The French were enticed into a trap and overwhelmed. This event is remembered by the commemorative plaque in Czech and French embedded into the external wall of the Chapel. On 12 December 1974 the Chapel was moved by about seven metres as its location prevented the extension of the road into a crossroad. The move was carried out by the Transfera Company from Prague, which shortly afterwards used the same method of transferring a building in Most, when this time an entire Gothic Church was moved.
