Orlík Castle can be found in the village called Orlík nad Vltavou, which is located in the northern part of Písek region. The castle itself looms on the rock above the Orlík Lake. Its buildings are very well preserved and white colour highlights its monumentality. Tourists can also visit the interiors - part of the castle is open to public. There are plenty of interesting things to be seen - such as precious furniture, pictures, porcelain, weapon collection, medallions, and trophies and so on. Orlík Castle belongs among the most popular tourist destinations in South Bohemia. There is also a possibility to visit Schwarzenberg burial chamber, approximately 2,5 km far from the castle. (Sight-seeing except the opening time - in the months: January, February, March, November, December - is possible according the agreement with the government of the castle).
